Eight Leopards score, Water Polo wins big

PASADENA, Calif. — Eight different Leopards scored, the Leos allowed just one goal, and the University of La Verne women's water polo team won big on the road, beating the Caltech Beavers 11-1.

Delaney Moller got the start in the cage finishing with five saves, snagging three steals, and assisting on a goal by Jassmine Kezman.

Kezman led the Leopards with three goals. Jasmine Bustamante added two of her own.

Jordan Ehara got the Leopards on the board less than 30 seconds into the game. Rachel Fox scored three minutes later and the Leopards were off an running. 

Kate Bradley, Susana Curiel, Victoria Mezack, and Shelby Garcia each scored once. 

Bradley, Ehara, and Curiel each dished an assist. Emily Mena finished the three steals.

Season Impact: La Verne improves to 8-14 overall and 5-7 in SCIAC play. Caltech falls to 0-20 overall and 0-12 in conference play.

Next Game: The Leopards return home this Saturday in an 11 a.m. match-up against Pomona-Pitzer. The Leopards will celebrate seniors Delaney Moller, Jasmine Bustamante, and Susana Curiel in a brief ceremony prior to the start of the game.
