Women's Water Polo Celebrates Senior Day

LA VERNE, Calif. — Jassmine Kezman scoed twice but the University of La Verne women's water polo team couldn't overcome an early deficit, falling to first-place Pomona-Pitzer 15-5.

Jasmine Bustamante, Victoria Mezack, and Kate Bradley each netted a goal. Yuri Ujifusa and Kezman both dished an assist.

Shelby Garcia got the start in the cage recording five saves. Delaney Moller stepped in for the final quarter grabbing three saves.

Senior Day: The Leopards celebrated seniors Jasmine Bustamante, Susana Curiel, and Delaney Moller in a brief pregame ceremony.

Season Impact: La Verne falls to 8-15 overall and 5-8 in the SCIAC. Pomona-Pitzer improves to 17-10 overall and 11-0 in the SCIAC.

Next Game: The Leopards close out the 2018 season next Wednesday at home against Cal Lutheran at 4 p.m.
