Mike Senyo enters his fourth season at La Verne where he assists with programming for athletics. His primary teams include: softball, baseball, track and field, men’s basketball and football. Senyo also oversees return to play programming for athletes returning from injury. Additionally, Senyo is an adjunct professor in the Kinesiology Department. 

Prior to La Verne, Senyo spent four seasons at Whittier College as the first Director of Strength & Conditioning in program history. Senyo oversaw the programming and implementation of 21 strength programs for Athletics and managed the fitness center. Prior to Whittier, Senyo started the strength program at Claremont McKenna College and spent two seasons training 14 athletics teams and designed the athletics weight room in the Roberts Pavilion. Senyo began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of La Verne. Senyo started coaching in 2011 at John Marshall High School as Co-Defensive Coordinator, coaching linebackers and the defensive line. Senyo was a four-year football player at the University of La Verne where he received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and Design. He is C.S.C.S, FMS, USAW and First Aid certified.

Senyo resides in La Verne with his wife, Trisha, and son, Nikolai.
