Christie Joines '05, M.Ed. '08 enters her 20th year at the University of La Verne, serving as both the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Eligibility and the Executive Assistant for the Director of Athletics.

As the Compliance and Eligibility Director, her duties include monitoring the activities of 20 sports' programs including 560+ La Verne student-athletes, coaches, athletics department staff members, and boosters in regards to NCAA, Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), and institutional rules. Joines works with student-athletes to ensure they are eligible for competition once enrolled at La Verne, monitoring academic and athletic compliance through Frontrush and Compliance Assistant Internet (CAi). She also serves as a committee member of the SCIAC Compliance Administrators.

A Leo for life, Joines is a La Verne alumnae, having earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at La Verne in Liberal Studies and Master’s in Education, Special Emphasis, respectively.

Joines is a member of NACWAA and NADIIIAA and attends the NCAA Regional Rules seminar bi-annually.

In her free time, Joines enjoys attending her son’s soccer games, camping, drag racing and spending time with her family.
