Alina Cobian scored the game-winner La Verne women’s soccer 1-0 win over Redlands in the Leopards’ home finale.
Following a foul by the Bulldogs, the Leopards set up for a free-kick at midfield. The Leopards passed the ball into the box but it was deflected out by the Redlands defense. A Bulldog defender attempted to head the ball away but Cobian swooped in and stole the errant pass. The senior then unleashed a shot from the top corner of the box to the opposite corner of the goal. The goal was the sixth career score for Cobian and the third of the year for the Covina native.
