LA VERNE, CA — The Pacific Boxers got up early and the University of La Verne baseball team couldn't recover, falling on the final day of opening weekend 14-6.

Season Impact

The Leopards finish the first weekend of the season 3-1 after Sunday's result. Pacific improves to 1-3.

Jacob Freedman led the Leopards with a pair of RBIs. Aaron Fong, Cameron Slessor, Dylan SanNicolas, and Jacob Barriga each added one RBI.

Matthew Dodd led the Leopards with a pair of hits and scored three times. Logan Frye pitched three innings of relief and struck out five.

Chase Anderson led the Boxer with five RBIs and two hits.

Next Game

The Leopards next head to Austin Texas for a stretch of four games. La Verne opens up the road trip on Friday, February, 14 with a noon game against Trinity followed by a contest against Concordia.
