Softball

Sahvanna Jaquish enters her first year on the University of La Verne softball staff in 2019.

Jaquish is a current member of Team USA Softball where she recently helped the squad win gold at the 2018 WBSC World Championship Gold.

"Sahvanna will be an invaluable addition to our staff," said Interim Head Coach Henry Moranchel. "She will be a great resource to help our players get better and we are extremely excited for her to help lead our players this season."

Jaquish comes to La Verne after playing four years at LSU. She left the Tigers as one of the most decorated collegiate athletes of all time. Jaquish was the first LSU softball player and the 34th softball player ever to be named a four-time All-American. Jaquish was also a member the Puerto Rico National Team from 2014-2016.

In addition to her All-American status, Jaquish was a four-time NFCA All-South Region selection, a three-time All-SEC selection, and played on three LSU squads that advanced to the College World Series. The Highland, CA native earned Lousiana Sports Write Association Freshman of the Year honors, was named to the SEC All-Tournament Team, and earned several LSWA and SEC Player of the Week recognitions among many other awards.

After completing her collegiate career, Jaquish spent a season at LSU as a volunteer assistant coach.
