CLAREMONT, Calif. — The University of La Verne tennis team struggled to find any momentum against Redlands and fell, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Claremont Club.
La Verne falls to 4-11 overall and 2-2 in SCIAC play. Redlands improves to 12-5 and 4-0.
The Bulldogs swept doubles and dropped only one set in singles play.
Janae Chinn claimed the second set in No. 3 singles match against Lauren Villanueva but dropped a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0(1) decision.
Bridget Etchegaray lost to her older sister Natalie Etchegaray, 6-2, 6-0, at No. 1 singles.
The Leoaprds return to action on Friday at Caltech.
