Prevedello Named Academic All-American

AUSTIN, TX — Elizabeth Prevedello has earned Third Team CoSIDA Academic All-American honors the College Sports Information Directors of America Announced Tuesday morning. Prevedello was eligible for the award after she was named a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection earlier this month.

Despite the cancellation of spring competition as a result of COVID-19, CoSIDA continued its sponsorship of the Academic All-America awards program. Student-athletes were selected based on career statistics/results.

Prevedello can now claim All-American honors both on the track and in the classroom. Last season the graduate student took sixth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships to earn her first All-American recognition. She set a La Verne record in the event with 4,522 points along the way.

Academically, Prevedello finished her undergraduate career with a cumulative 3.91 GPA and earned an MBA with a GPA of 3.92. She earned a spot on the 2019 United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team.

Regionally, Prevedello picked up 2019 Outdoor All-West Region honors in the long jump and heptathlon, and at the conference level, she earned All-SCIAC honors in the long jump and 4x400m relay at the 2019 SCIAC Championships while finishing third in both events.

The Eugene, OR native also had a dominant indoor season in 2019 and earned Indoor All-West Region accolades in the high jump, long jump, pentathlon, 60m hurdles, and distance medley relay. Prevedello's five indoor All-Region accolades were the most by any female athlete in the nation in 2019.
