Taylor Lillard begins her first season with the La Verne Leopards.
Lillard was a standout player for NCAA Division I Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina where she played both the middle and the outside positions. She was named the Choice Hotels Big South Player of the Week in 2015, and she earned a spot on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll in 2013-14.
A California native, Lillard was a four-year letter award winner at Victor Valley High School where she was a four-time All-League selection; a three-time First-Team All-Area honoree; a two-time Team MVP; a two-time Hesperia Summer Tournament MVP; was named the Daily Press Athlete of the Year after her senior season; and was tabbed the Citrus Belt Player of the Year and the Gabrielson Athlete of the Year.
Lillard will work primarily with the middle blockers this season while also attending school for her Master's in Business Administration.
