Cross Country competes at Pomona-Pitzer Inviational

CLAREMONT, Calif. — The University of La Verne cross country teams competed at the annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitional on Saturday morning at Blanchard Park.

Men's Competition

Tanner Long, as he has done all season, paced the Leopards. The senior crossed the finish line in 26 minute, 34.56 seconds to finish 29th overall.

Not far behind was Samuel Johnny, who finished 35th with a time of 26:42.30.

Mario Martinez finished 52nd at 27:19.11, Christopher Arcos was 85th with a time of 28:20.96 andDamon Gomez came in 88th with a time of 28:27.30.

Women's Competition

Kamalei Lee led the Leopards, finishing 62nd with a time of 25:03.88.

Jesja Pham was 122th at 28:23.88 and Maria Castanon finished 135th with a time of 32.39.12.

Up next

The Leopards will get two weeks off before the 2016 SCIAC Championships on Oct. 29 at Prado Park.
