ANAHEIM, CA — The University of La Verne men's golf team kept their successful fall season rolling last weekend, winning the SCIAC Quad Match. Aaron Yoo led the Leopards with his best collegiate finish, taking first individually.

The Leopards have looked sharp in their three preseason tournaments. Three different Leopards have finished in the top-2 individually during the span with Connor Dunlop taking second at the CA State Intercollegiate and Michael Ordona finishing second last time out at the Redlands Bulldog Invitational.

Yoo looked poised throughout the two-day tournament. The junior finished the first round in second place, shooting a par-71 to end the day two strokes behind Occidental's Jack Moeller. Yoo came out stronger in the final round carding a 69 to tie Moeller for the leader spot with a 141 (-1) final score. Yoo claimed first via a card-off.

La Verne finished with a team score of 582 beating out SCIAC rivals Occidental (594), Chapman (596), and Whittier (615) to win the event.

Three other Leopards finished in the top-10. Ordona ended in a tie for fourth place with a 147 (+5). Dunlop finished one stroke behind, 148 (+6) in sixth place, and Kyle Hazlett took seventh at 149 (+7).

Zane Mularski finished just outside the top-10 in 11th place with a 153 (+8). Lachlan Tatterson (159) and Tom Bilston-John (160) rounded out the scoring.

The tournament concludes La Verne's spring season. The Leopards will return to action in the spring of 2022.
