LA VERNE, CA — Katheryn Navarro and Jiana Rojo have been named SCIAC Athletes of the Week the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced on Monday.

Navarro picked up SCIAC Softball Hitter of the Week honors after leading the Leopards with three RBI, a double, three walks, and one run as the Leopards outscored St. Katherine a combined 15-0 in a pair of wins.

Rojo earned SCIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week recognition after striking out a career-high eight batters while allowing just three hits and one walk in her game one start. She also did her part at the plate finishing the doubleheader with a home run, three hits, and two RBI.

Next Game

The Leopards have a tough test next weekend when they host NAIA power Vanguard in a doubleheader beginning at noon. The Lions are currently ranked No. 9 in the NAIA.
