Los Angeles, California - It is Day 2 for the SCIAC Swim & Dive Championships. The University of La Verne's Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team has proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with during the second day at the SCIAC championship event. Despite competing against veteran conference attendees, the team consisting of three freshmen and one senior displayed a remarkable performance, finishing 9th in the championship heat with a time of 1:48.55.

Maddie Grove (FR), Cassie Grinsteadn (FR), Emma Vu (SR), and Gracie Tessitore (FR) demonstrated exceptional skills, especially given their youth compared to other championship finalists. Their achievement serves as an inspiration to other swimmers preparing for the third day of SCIAC Championships, only hours away. 

In addition, the University of La Verne's Men's A team also had a remarkable performance in the 200 Yard medley, finishing 8th in the championship heat with a time of 1:29.65. Their accomplishment adds to the University of La Verne's reputation for producing top-notch underdogs.
