LA VERNE, CA — Monica Garcia Silva earned Second Team All-SCIAC honors the Southern Califonia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced.
Garcia Silva had an outstanding debut season for the Leopards nearly averaging a double-double for La Verne.
The Los Angeles native ranked fourth in the SCIAC with nine rebounds per game and ranked sixth with 15.8 points per game.
She finished third in the conference with 216 total rebounds and sixth with 380 total points.
Her biggest individual performance came at Occidental when she dropped 48 points on 59 percent shooting and grabbed 18 rebounds in a 93-84 win, earning a spot on the D3Hoops.com Team of the Week. The 48 points rank as the second most points scored in a game in Leopard history.
She also finished the season with 40 assists, 34 steals, and nine blocks.
