LA VERNE, CA — It's been over a year since any Leopard student-athletes have been able to represent the University of La Verne in any competition. It was March 11, 2020, the La Verne women's water polo team rolled past the Chapman Panthers winning 17-4.

The long drought ends today fittingly when the La Verne women's water polo heads to Orange to take on the Chapman Panthers at 4 p.m.

The game will kick off a very short season for the women's water polo team and most of La Verne's spring sports. Baseball and softball open their seasons this Saturday and track and field will begin next week. Teams are only scheduled to play a few games each but just getting back to competition feels like a win.
