LA VERNE, Calif. – The University of La Verne hosted Student-Athlete Appreciation Day in honor of Division III Week.
Members of each team contributed with activities such as dizzy bat, bucket pong, corn hole, water balloon toss, and many more. The teams gathered at the University Mall to eat hot dogs and burgers while celebrating the effort and time they put into playing at the Division III level.
The highlight of the day was the dunk tank with Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, Matt Durant, jumping into the hot seat to give the student-athletes a shot.
Julie Shaw, who supplied the photo booth for today's event said, "it was great seeing all the student-athletes and coaches interact with each other off the court." She added that "[Its] always great seeing everyone connect and having a fun time on-campus. Getting to be with each other not as student-athletes, but as people."
