Leopards Compete at the PP Invite

CLAREMONT. CA - Under a clear and sunny Southern California sky, the Leopards took to the Sagehen's blue track and faced off against competition from all three divisions of the NCAA, as well as NAIA athletes, in the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational. The Leopards put up quality performances once again – the 2nd time in 24 hours.  Today tallied 6 personal best performances, and in a few cases, coveted PP Invite Champions t-shirts were won - awards earned by heat winnters on the track, and flight winners in the field events.

First-year Madison Bravo started the day off strong for the Leo's in the 5k. She was followed by junior Andrea Camacho and freshman Destiny Espinoza who ran PRs of 19:50 and 22:11 respectively - both making the most of a competitive race in warm conditions.  Other top end performances were mostly in the field for the day, with the Leo throwers making their mark on the SCIAC performance list.
