Sid Robertson joined the University of La Verne football staff in 2019 as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator with over a decade of collegiate coaching experience.
 
Prior to arriving at La Verne, Robertson spent three years at his alma mater, Mount San Antonio College (Mt. SAC), working under the direction of Head Coach Bob Jastrab. He began his tenure coaching the offensive line with Offensive Coordinator Bobby Purcell in 2016 and then switched to coaching running backs in 2017. He also served as the run game coordinator in both 2016 and 2017. Robertson coached the outside linebackers coach in his final season with the Mounties. 
 
Robertson spent six years at American River College in Sacramento under the leadership of head coaches Jerry Haflich and Jon Osterhout. In 2015 he worked with Defensive Coordinator Lou Bais as the linebackers coach. Before moving to the defensive side of the ball, Robertson worked as the recruiting coordinator and running backs coach during the 2013 and 2014 campaigns. Robertson served as the recruiting coordinator and defensive line coach in 2011 and 2012. He was on the Beavers' staff when American River College completed its first undefeated season in school history in 2011 and was part of two NorCal Championship appearances in 2012 and 2014.  
 
The seasoned coach began his collegiate coaching career at Pasadena City College where he worked as the defensive line coach from 2008-2009.
 
In his 11 years coaching at the junior college level, Robertson sent numerous student-athletes to careers at four-year colleges and universities and tutored many to all-conference and All-American honors.
 
Robertson was born in American Samoa and raised in Carson, California. He began his football career playing at East High School in Utah his freshman year and played three years at Carson High School. At Carson, he earned Second Team All-CIF LA City Section honors as an offensive and defensive lineman. After high school, Robertson served a two-year Latter Day Saints church mission in Philadelphia. After his mission, he continued his football career at Mt. SAC for two years. He then earned a scholarship to New Mexico Highlands University where he spent his last two seasons. 
 
Robertson is happily married to his lovely wife Lethe Robertson and they have a daughter Lyanna Felila. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
