LA VERNE- The University of La Verne men's soccer squad earned another overtime win Wednesday evening, this time a 1-0 decision against the University of Redlands.
Both squads carried a shutout through 90 minutes of regulation play before senior midfielder David Gonzalez scored the game-winner five minutes into extra time.
Gonzalez led the Leos with four shots on the night while freshman goalkeeper Dylan Roberts recorded a season-high 10 saves.
The Bulldogs outshot La Verne 18-11 and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. The win moves the Leopards to 9-5 overall and 7-5 in SCIAC action while Redlands drops to 8-3 overall and in conference play.
La Verne is slated to host Whittier College Monday at Ortmayer Stadium. Game time is 7 p.m.
