Pat Widolff enters his 21st season as head coach of the Leopard track and field program. During this span, Widolff has steadily elevated the track and field programs to top-flight status at the conference and national level.

Widolff's men's squad has finished in the Top 10 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in back-to-back seasons.  La Verne placed fifth overall in 2011 and ninth in 2012.

In Widolff's tenure as head coach, La Verne has crowned three national champions in three different events and has captured three SCIAC Championships in women's track and field (1997, 2003, 2005). Widolff was also named the West Region Coach of the Year in 1998 and went on to guide the men's team to the SCIAC Conference Co-Championship in 2001. While coaching at La Verne, Leopard athletes have won numerous SCIAC individual titles.

A graduate of Marian College, Widolff earned two master's degrees from Xavier University (OH) and from Cal Poly Pomona. In addition to his coaching duties, Widolff is an associate professor in ULV's Movement and Sports Science Department. He resides in La Verne with wife Karen and son Matt.
