Women's Basketball

Caila Hailey joins the University of La Verne Women’s Basketball staff as a graduate assistant for the 2019-2020 season. Hailey, an Inglewood, California native is a graduate of Serra High School where she won three CIF Championships and one state championship during her prep career.

She played collegiate basketball at the NCAA Division I level at Washington State University where she garnered many honors both on the court and in the classroom. As a Cougar she appeared in 121 games (7th all-time), was voted captain both her junior and senior year, averaged 5 rebounds per game (4th best among wings and backcourt), was selected to play in the USA Basketball 3X3 Tournament, is one of eight players to play in a program-record 36 games in a season, started a team-best 33 contests (5th most all-time), recorded a team best 75 steals (2nd in the PAC 12), tallied 8 steals in a WNIT win over BYU (6th most all time in a single-season), and was named All-PAC 12 Defensive two straight seasons.

In the classroom Hailey was named PAC 12 All-Academic. Hailey earned her undergraduate degree in Communications. Prior to joining the University of La Verne, she coached on the EYBL circuit in the summer of 2019.
