After nearly two hours of play, including two overtime periods, the University of La Verne's women's soccer team battled Claremont-Mudd-Scripps to a 0-0 draw Saturday at Ortmayer Stadium in La Verne.
The Leopards (3-4-1, 0-1-1 SCIAC) outshot the Sagehens (1-4-2, 0-1-1-SCIAC) 14-11 on the day, including a 8-3 advantage in the second half, but were unable to find the back of the net. Both teams collected four corner kicks on the day, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps accumulated 11 fouls to La Verne's four.
Forward Olga Saldivar and defenders Katie Careaga and Brianna Romero led the Leos with three shots apeice. A total of seven La Verne shots were on target. Goalie Delanie Pacheco made three saves.
The Leopards are back in action Wednesday at Redlands. Game time is schedule for 7 p.m.
