Long Beach, CA - The University of La Verne men's golf team embarked upon the start of the 2023 golf campaign in Long Beach, California with the start of conference play. 

The Leopards participated in the SCIAC #1 at El Dorado Golf Course in Long Beach, which was also hosted by Pomona-Pitzer. La Verne finished the event +27, finishing in third place out of eight teams competing. The first day of competition would see the LEopards finish in 4th place and Michael ORdona was the second lowed player in the field of golfers on opening day. Three Leopards finished in the top 15 overall for SCIAC #1. Head coach Nathalie da Silva was pleased with her team's performance and she has great expectations for her team. "We left ourselves in a good position, we have 5 more rounds to go and we are gonna keep working hard to get that win; our goal is to make the postseason and SCIAC 1 was proof that we are talented enough to do so."

The Leopards will be competing at CBU in the Joust on February 20th.
