"There were lots of great races and great efforts today," said La Verne Swim and Dive Head Coach Pat Skehan. "It was fun to get a couple of W's in our final home meet of the season. We have one more meet next weekend against Redlands and Occidental and we should be ready for a great SCIAC effort."

Camacho, just a sophomore, contributed to the win in a big way winning three of the four events she competed in. She swam the opening leg of the 200 medley relay in a season-best split of 29.58, swept both the 100 backstroke (1:02.40) and 200 backstroke (2:16.30), and took second in the 200 individual medley (2:21.32).

Off the boards, freshman Kira Degelsmith added a win in the one-meter dive with a score of 171.50. Ramirez took second in the 200 freestyle (2;09.35) to go along with her performance in the 200 medley relay. Senior Isabelle Cheng capped the final home meet of her career with a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke (2:50.09) and a third-place performance in the 100 breaststroke (1:18.46).

The women's team swam 10 season-best times and won nine of the 16 events.
