ORANGE, CA — Kelsie Sievers led the Leopards with 17 kills but the University of La Verne volleyball team fell on the road to Chapman Saturday evening.

Season Impact

The Leopards fall to 8-7 overall and 4-3 in conference play. With the win, Chapman moves to 15-2 overall and 6-1 in the SCIAC.

Stat Leaders

Sievers' 17 kills led all players. The senior also added five blocks and three digs. Madison Maynes turned in a game-high 40 assists in the match. 

Kristen Sanchez led all players with 15 digs. Emma Estigoy and Haley Celaya both added eight kills.

Chapman was led by Jessi Lumsden's 16 kills and Sophie Srivastava's 23 assists.

La Verne returns home on Tuesday to face the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens at 7 p.m.
