The University of La Verne women's water polo squad will compete in the 2013 SCIAC Tournament, held Friday through Sunday (April 26-28) at Pasadena City College.
La Verne will open with Caltech in the tourney's first contest at 1:00 pm. The winner will face top seed Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the final contest on Day 1 in a 7:00 pm start while the loser will take on the loser of the Pomona-Pitzer-Chapman match in the consolation play-in contest at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
The Leopards posted their lone conference win this season over Caltech, topping the Beavers 15-7 in Pasadena on April 6.
La Verne (11-21, 1-7 SCIAC) has been led offensively this season by senior Alex Gudeneau, the team's leading scorer, and on defense by senior goalie Lauren Shepard, who is among the conference leaders in saves this season.
