CLAREMONT- The University of La Verne men's water polo squad endured an 18-8 road loss against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Saturday.

The Leopards were led by a pair of goals from senior utility player Daniel Hargis and sophomore utility player Troy Williams. Junior goalie Daniel Newell made 10 saves. 

The Leos dropped to 4-16 overall and 0-2 in SCIAC play by while the Stags are 9-8 overall and 1-0 in league action.

La Verne is scheduled to take on Chapman University 4 p.m. Wednesday at Las Flores Park.
