LA VERNE- The University of La Verne men's water polo team took a 17-13 loss against league rival Chapman University Wednesday afternoon.

The Leopards held onto a narrow 10-8 deficit at the halfway mark, but the Panthers increased their lead to four in the third quarter to prevent a Leo comeback.

The Leopards are scheduled for a weekend doubleheader with conference for California Institute of Technology at 11 a.m. before taking on Chaffey College at 1:30. Both games will be played at Las Flores Park.
