Trevor Persson Named Head Coach Of The Women's Golf Program
La Verne, California - Today the University of La Verne announced Trevor Persson as the women's head golf coach. As the new leader of the Leopards women's program, Persson brings a plethora of experience to the greens. He played three years of varsity golf in high school in addition to playing golf internationally in Mexico and Guatemala. Golf runs in his bloodline, as his brother is a member of the PGA (Professional Golf Association). In 2018 Persson teamed with La Verne head football coach Chris Krich to win first place in the two-man scramble at the Rob Fukuzaki Heads Up Foundation Golf Tournament. As the Leopards prepare for the 2022 season, Persson is very eager to lead the ladies to success.

"I am beyond excited to begin coaching the women's golf program here at La Verne.  After helping coach the women's golf team during the Spring 2022 season, it is an honor to continue working with and building around such an excellent group of student-athletes.  I look forward to the 2022-2023 season and beyond!"
