Rising seniors Matthew Shinn and Matthew Biggers represented the University of La Verne on the Beyond Sports Network 2013 Division III All-America teams.

Shinn was a First Team selection as an offensive guard with Biggers earning a spot on the Third Team at the running back position.

A native of Rancho Cucamonga, the 6-4, 300-lb. Shinn started all nine games as a junior a year ago.  He anchored the Leopard offensive line and was instrumental in the squad's offensive output during the 2012 campaign.  Last season, La Verne amassed 3,830 yards of total offense, an average of 425.6 per game.

Biggers led the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) in rushing yards with 1,397 yards on the 2012 season.  His 155.2 yards per game average also led the conference and ranked fourth nationally among Division III leaders.  Hailing from Riverside, the 5-9, 200-lb. Biggers became the first-ever Leopard rusher to surpass the 300-yard barrier in a single game when he ran for 304 yards against nationally-ranked Cal Lutheran on November 3.  The effort landed him a spot on the D3football Team of the Week on November 6.

Both Shinn and Biggers were 2012 First Team All-SCIAC selections.
