The University of La Verne men's and women's cross country teams will run at the SCIAC Cross Country Championships tomorrow at Prado Park in Chino Hills.
The La Verne women's squad heads into the race ranked No. 10 in the West Region. The Leopards will be paced by Melissa Cerrillos who's been at the front of La Verne's pack all season. Running in the Leopards no. 2 spot will be senior Rachael Dela Cruz. Cerillos and Dela Cruz were the top to finishers for the Leopards at pre-nationals.
On the men's side, Matthew Salas will lead the Leopards. The sophomore has been La Verne's top finisher all year and set a personal record recently at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
