CLAREMONT, CA — TK Berhe led the University of La Verne men's cross country team in a field of NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA institutions at the annual Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.
Berhe took 30th overall in a field of 138 runners with a time of 26:09.0 to lead the Leopards to an 8th place team finish. Edward Carrillo was the next best finisher for the Leopards clocking in at 26:55.1
Efren Martin added a personal record crossing the finish line with a time of 27:22.4.
Marcelo Martinez added a finish of 27:26.3 with Santiago Herrera (27:33.3), Jared Albaugh (28:02.3), Jose Reyes (28:54.8), and Andres Flores-Marquez (30:47.9) rounded out the race for the Leopards.
La Verne next races across the country when the team travels to Connecticut College Invitational on October 16.
