GRINNELL, Iowa — Andrew Tompkins of the La Verne men's swimming and diving team wrapped up an excellent freshman campaign with a fourth place finish on the 3-meter board at the 2017 NCAA Division III Region 2 Championships, hosted by Grinnell, at Osgood Pool on Satuday afternoon.
The San Diego native tallied a total score of 375.20 points and beat out Jacob Miner of Redlands, who edged Tompkins for silver medals on both boards at the SCIAC Championships.
Tompkins finished fourth on the 1-meter board yesterday.
Kendall Hollimon of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the event with a score of 520.70 and Birmingham Southern's Chaz Brouillette took second with a score of 467.30 to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.
