THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — A trio of Leopards competed as individuals at the second annual Regals Invitational, hosted by Cal Lutheran at Sunset Hills Country Club (par-72) on March 16-17.
Kirsten Contreras led the way for the Leopards, shooting a two-round total of 189. The freshmen carded a 95 in the first round and came in with a 94 today. Contreras finished 51st overall.
Right behind Contreras was fellow rookie Morgan Malloy, who shot a total of 195. Malloy shot a 101 on the first day but cut seven strokes to book at 94 in the second round. She came in 55th overall.
Rachel Hong, who doubles as an ace for the La Verne softball team, did not compete in the first round but shot 118 in the final round.
The Leopards return to action on April 11-12 at SCIAC No. 2.
