Claremont, CA - The University of La Verne women's golf team competed in the SCIAC #2 golf tournament this past weekend at Claremont-M-S.

 

Competing in the tournament, the Leopards completed the event with positive scores competing against conference opponents. Day one of the tournament would see Jordyn Janert lead the Leopards with a score of 77 followed by fellow Leopard Alexis Aguilera with a score of 79. The day would start with both of these ladies having 3 birdies a piece. 

 

Jordyn Janert would follow up on day two of SCIAC #2 with another day of consistent play as she finished the day with a score of 78. For the weekend, she finished with a total of 155, placing her 17th overall for the tournament. Head coach Trevor Persson was very pleased to see his ladies competing at a high level at SCIAC #2. "It was nice to see our players competing within a very tough conference.  For the majority of day one, we were placed near the middle of the pack.  With some more experience and consistent play, we will look to move up the leaderboard in future events."

 

The SCIAC Championships will take place April 23rd through April 25th at Cal Lutheran.
