LA VERNE, CA — To say the University of La Verne women's water polo team has hit the ground running is an understatement.
After playing just one regular-season game, the Leopards head into the SCIAC Postseason Tournament to take on No. 1 seed Cal Lutheran. La Verne enters the tournament as the fourth seed due to its limited schedule. The Leopards will travel to Thousand Oaks on Saturday for an 11 a.m. showdown against the Regals.

Cal Lutheran enters the contest undefeated with a 5-0 record. The Regals have a pair of wins over Cuesta College and Redlands and one win against Chapman. Redlands defeated Chapman earlier this season 22-10, the only common opponent between the Bulldogs and Leopards.
The general public will not be allowed into the venue. A limited number of preselected family members are allowed to be present.
No. 2 Chapman hosts No. 3 Redlands in the other semifinal game.
The two semifinal winners will face off on Sunday, May 2 at the home of the highest remaining seed.
