Fullerton, CA — Rachael Dela Cruz led the Leopards with a top-20 finish Saturday morning at the Biola Invitational.
"The women's team closed well off a conservative start which led to a solid fourth place finish," said head coach Justin Wood. "Similar to the men, most women ran either lifetime bests or personal best for this course so I feel like we are moving in the right direction."
Dela Cruz paced the La Verne pack, taking 18th overall with a time of 19:22. She was followed close behind by Melissa Cerrillos who posted a time of 19:28 to finish 20th overall.
Michelle Suarez finished with a personal best time of 20:32. Ashley Garnica crossed with a time of 21:37.
Reiko Fujimoto (23:04), Jesja Pham (23:21), and Daisy Perez (24:19) close out the race for La Verne.
