WHITTIER, Calif. — Three Leopards finished in double figures but the University of La Verne men's basketball team fell on the road to the Whittier College Poets, 95-67.

Jamaal Willis led the Leopards with 16 points to go with three assists and three rebounds. The senior knocked down three shots from beyond the arc.

Victor Costa added 15 points, five rebounds, and three steals.

Cole Currie came off the bench to score 10 points to go with two assists and led La Verne with seven boards.

Evan Gustafson scored eight points and Brandon Rice grabbed four rebounds. Connor Head scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds and dished a pair of assists.

The Poets were led by Louis Kurihara's 21 points. Ryan Henry added 10 points.

Next Game: The Leopards return home this Wednesday, February 7 to host the Redlands Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
