LA VERNE, CA— The University of La Verne softball game dropped a pair of games to No. 7 Williams on Monday.
Game One: Williams 4, La Verne 3
The Leopards scored three runs in the second and the led the Ephs heading into the seventh inning, but Williams spoiled La Verne's upset bid with a pair of runs in the seventh.
How it Happened
With two outs and two runners on base, Kirstin Mapes reached on an error that sent both runners across the plate for the 4-3 advantage.
The Leopards scored three runs in the third off three straight RBI by Rachel Ogata, Carly Condon, and Francheska Juarez.
Stat Leaders
Ogata went 2-3 at the plate. Jiana Rojo struck out six.
Mackenzie Murphy and Jill Jenkin each had two hits for Williams.
Game Two: Williams 9, La Verne 3
The Ephs scored early and often on their way to a win over the Leopards in game two.

Shelby Tevis finished with a pair of RBI. Sienna Kendricks added two hits, one RBI, and a walk.
Season Impact
The Leopards drops to 10-14 overall. Williams improves to 11-3.
