INDIO, Calif. — Kirsten Contreras shot a two-round total score of 171 to lead the La Verne women's golf team at the first annual OGIO Bulldog Classic, hosted by Redlands, on March 27-28 at Indian Springs Golf Club.

The junior posted shot a 90 in the first round but improved nine strokes to card an 81 in the second round. She finished tied for 34th overall.

Morgan Malloy led the Leopards with an 89 on Monday and came into the clubhouse on Tuesday with an 87 to finish 40th.

Valerie Lopez shot a 99 in the first round and cut six strokes in the second round (93) to finish 44th.

The Leopards are back in action on Apri 8-9 at SCIAC No. 2 at Jurupa Hills Golf Club.
