RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The La Verne women's golf team posted big improvements across the board at SCIAC No. 2 on April 8-9 at Jurupa Hills Golf Club.

All three Leopards—Kirsten Contreras, Valerie Lopez and Morgan Malloy—recorded lower scores than they did at SCIAC No. 1.

Contreras, who only played one round at the first SCIAC tournament, carded a total score of 174 (84-90) and finished 29th overall.

Malloy shot a total of 188 (94-94) and finished 34th. Malloy's total was a 17-stroke improvement from SCIAC No. 1.

Lopez posted a total score of 196 (100-96)—a 29-shot improvement from SCIAC No. 1—to finish 37th. 

The Leopards return to action a SCIAC Championships on April 23-25 at Los Serranos Country Club.
