Redlands, CA - The University of La Verne football team took on the Redlands Bulldogs seeking their second conference victory of the season. La Verne was fresh off of a 43-20 win over Whittier College.

The first period of play would be a low-scoring affair as the Leopards only allowed three Bulldog points on the board. Entering the second quarter down 3-0, LA Verne would score five points in the quarter by a field goal and two points off of a blocked PAT to go into halftime down 19-5. In the second half, LA Verne would score fourteen points in the fourth quarter when quarterback Miguel Aguero Jr connected with James Henriquez and Mathew Brown for touchdowns. The Leopards late rally would fall short as they lost to Redlands 36-19.

La Verne had 19 first downs in the game as Andre Maldonado led the team in rushing with 48 yards on 7 attempts. Ethan Medeiros had 57 yards receiving for the Leopards. Hector Facio led the Leopards defense with 11 tackles. 

La Verne will be on the road next week at Cal Lutheran. The game starts at 7:00 PM.
