The University of La Verne men's basketball team will be heading to Las Vegas during the holiday break to compete in the second annual D3hoops.com Classic as the complete tournament schedule was announced on Friday.
The Leopards are among a field of 11 men's teams including Gustavus Adolphus, Hanover, Hardin-Simmons, U.S. Merchant Marines, Ramapo, Skidmore, Spalding, Transylvania, Ursinus and Wesley.
La Verne will take on a pair of schools from Kentucky as they meet up with Transylvania on December 28 before battling Spalding a day later on December 29.
The Leopards concluded the 2010-11 campaign with a 13-13 overall record including an 8-6 mark in SCIAC play.
