The duo of Jonathan Bastos and Alex Wolpe represented the University of La Verne on the 2010-11 NABC Honors Court compiled by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, honoring players from all levels of college basketball for academic and athletic success.
A junior from Redlands, Wolpe started in 24 games for the Leopards, averaging 7.9 points per game while leading the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) in field goal percentage at .631. As a computer science major, Wolpe maintained a 3.39 grade point average.
A junior from Mission Viejo, Bastos also started in 24 games in 2010-11, averaging 5.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Leos. He owned a 3.62 grade point average while majoring in business administration.
In order to be named to the Honors Court, the student-athlete must be either a junior or senior on the varsity basketball team, maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average at the conclusion of the 2010-11 academic year, and must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
