Leos fall at Pomona-Pitzer

CLAREMONT – The La Verne Leopards lost to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, Saturday, Jan. 22, 88-45.

The Sagehens jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. It quickly turned into a 38-8 lead midway through the first half, with the Sagehens sustaining their lead through to the end of the second. 

Seth Shaw led the way for the Leos as the lone double figure scorer with 17 points on 7-15 shooting. 

Pomona-Pitzer saw five players end with double-digit scoring totals, and Johnny King collected the lone double-double of the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Leos are now 2-12 and 0-5 in SCIAC play. Pomona-Pitzer moves to 11-3 and 6-1.

La Verne's next game is Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Cal Lutheran.
