Stepanski Leads Leopards at SCIAC No. 1

BEAUMONT, CA — Nathan Stepanski led the Leopards with a top-10 finish and the University of La Verne men's golf team battled through windy and rainy conditions to finish in fourth place at SCIAC No. 1

Stepanski finished in a tie for ninth place with a final card of 153. The sophmore shot a 75 in round one to end the day in 10th place before shooting a team-low 77 on day two to jump a spot up in the standings.

The Leopards finished with a total team score of 619.

Connor Dunlop ended in a tie for 13th place (75-77-152) and Jake Littlejohn tied for 17th place (76-80-155). Littlejohn led La Verne with six birdies in the tournament.

Pitiluk Phanomchai (78-79-157) and Zane Mularski (78-79-157) tied for 21st place. Aaron Yoo rounded out the squad in a tied for 32nd place (81-83-164).

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps finished in first place with a score of 584 and the Stags' Edward Wu took the individual title with a score of 145.

Next Round

The Leopards will compete next at the OC Tri-Match against Occidental and Vanguard at Tustin Ranch Golf Club on Friday, March, 13.
