LA VERNE, CA — Henrik Skogseth from men's golf and Hanien Samara from women's soccer have been tabbed SCIAC Scholar-Athletes of the Year the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced.

Each year, the SCIAC recognizes one men's sport and one women's sport student-athlete from each conference institution as SCIAC Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
Skogseth, a senior from Oslo, Norway, participated in the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships when the Leopards qualified as an at-large team and was a member of the 2019 SCIAC Championship squad that earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. Entering the spring Skogseth sported a 3.98 cumulative GPA while majoring in economics with concentrations in finance and accounting.
A native of San Diego, Samara was a four-year member of the Leopards' women's soccer team who started at goalkeeper in 22 of the 25 games in which she participated. The Biology majored entered the spring with a 3.95 cumulative GPA.
