LA VERNE — The swim team competed in senior day against Caltech on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Las Flores Park.

The day began with a wonderful senior day ceremony to honor all the graduating Leo swimmers, leaving the pool and entering the world. 

The day kicked off with diver Kira Degelsmith, placing second in both the one-meter and three-meter dives, her best finishes of the season.

The swimmers followed with impressive performances from Emma Vu in the 50 and 100 yard breaststroke. She placed second and third place in those respective races.

Other Leos to place in top positions included last week's Leopard of the Week, Alondra Camacho, who finished third in the 100 yard medley. Raymond Thai had one of his best races of the season finishing second in the 100 yard breaststroke.

While this is La Verne's final event of the season, some women's swimmers will continue their sports seasons with Women's water polo kicking off their season on Feb. 19 in St. Paul, Minn. at the Macalester Invite.
