LA VERNE, CA — The Leopards got on the board early and rolled on their way to an easy 13-0 win over the visiting Saint Katherine Firebirds in an exhibition Wednesday night at Ortmayer Stadium.

Stat Leaders 

Cambria Smith had an incredible start to the season. The forward scored four times, earning a hat-trick just two minutes into the second half.

Andrea Story added three goals of her own, her first coming in the 15th minute of the game, with the senior drilling the final two in the second half.

Senior Juna Bouchekara racked up four assists in the match. The senior helped the Leopards get on the board five minutes into the game when she crossed a ball from the right side of the box to a wide-open Smith who booted the ball in for an easy goal.

Sam Hanawalt found the back of the net twice in her Leopard debut. Mia Trugerro, Ivana Fatovic, and Vivian Ramirez each scored once. Ari Dowell added an assist.

The Leopards held the Firebirds to just one shot in the match.

Next Game: La Verne returns on Saturday when they host the University of Dallas Crusaders at 7 p.m.
